Στις 8 Δεκεμβρίου, το "Π" στο Γκάζι ανανεώνεται, αναβαθμίζεται, και παρουσιάζει την Έκθεση νέων –και παλαιότερων με την ίδια όμως φρεσκάδα- Εικονογράφων και Comic Creators, "Π-ictures 02", η οποία τίνει να γίνει θεσμικό καλλιτεχνικό γεγονός.

Έτσι φέτος τη σκυτάλη παίρνουν οι Αυγή Κανάκη, Δημήτρης Κάσδαγλης, Ιόλη Κομνηνού, Ευγενία Κουμάκη, Ελεάννα Μαυροφρύδη, Μόνικα Ρεμπόφσκα, Άγγελος Φωκάς και Νίκος Χαντζής.

Οπότε ανακεφαλαιώνουμε:

It's a long time since I wrote something here, but I am back and with some announcements! In December's Diamond's Previews Catalog, you are going to find the HOPE: THE HERO INITIATIVE TPB for 2011, with the code DEC 101038.
One of the stories are brought from me and my friend George Komiotis , and it's the 1st official appearance (in their own title) of the UNDENTIFIEDS, a hilarious team of not-so-super villainous animals that try to organize a super market robbery. Do they succeed? Go and order the book to find out!

Εν μέρει βέβαια, μιας και την πλήρη αμερικάνικη σαιζόν θα τη δούμε να ξεκινά τις 2 επόμενες βδομάδες.

Για την ελληνική σαιζόν δεν έχω να πω τίποτε το ιδιαίτερο προς το παρόν, απλά πως αναμένεται κουραστική, βαρετή, με πολλά τηλεπαιχνίδια, ελάχιστες ελληνικές σειρές και περισσότερες αμερικάνικες σειρές που δε μ'ενδιαφέρουν. Υπάρχουν και κωμικές σειρές εκεί έξω, helloooou! Αλλά ξέχασα, αυτές τις χρησιμοποιο΄θμε μόνο για να κλέβουμε ιδέες και σενάρια, πρέπει να τις αποκρύβουμε επιμελώς!

Manhunt has just begun!

No, that's not right, what I meant was PENGHUNT has just begun!

And Manhunt in a way. Not the comic thing, the real one!

(Well, it's not that complicated Spyros, isnt now?)

Ok, here's the thing: A bunch of evil (?) penguins waited for too long for the moment to come, that particular moment, when animals will take over the world, and dominate the human species! So they started to search for clues everywhere. Untill the day, they discovered a comic book, they found MANHUNT!

This wasn't the sign for Da Revolution of course, but the evil penguins couldnt believe something so obvious is NOT a secret sign for something bigger.

So they started preparations.

The word was out, and penguins all across the globe will unite to fight under the leadership of the Manhunt guys!...Really!

After that said, u should better be prepared yourselves as well, for the upcoming WW3! How? You may ask. It's simple: Go and check AT LEAST once a week the new Manhunt comic strip called PENGHUNT, and find out all of the evil penguins'secrets and how the revolution develops under our noses!

So, as expected, MrBunny didnt win Small Press Idol this year. He ended up in Fourth place amongst the 3 final contestants, after a long road, and a lot of money well spent for brabery or how the word is in english

Long time since I updated my journal I know...

These past few days have been hectic busy, I am in the middle of many projects, some of them you know already (like the Mr.Bunny's weekly strip THE IDOL on Small Press Idol's homepage, [link] which really soon will be updated with Mr.Bunny's Round 3 entry! ) or Manhunt (where we have a change: the inks for the regular comic will be made now by Bill Nichols, Editor of Sketch Magazine, and my involvment in the comic will be a regular comic strip with my penguins!)

-More about the strip: It was first introduced in the back cover of the Manhunt Preview book [link] , but due to his success in Wizard World Chicago 2 weeks ago, it gained a regular place at the back cover, under the title "PENGHUNT". Weekly PENGHUNT treats will be presented at Manhunt's site, but untill this is ready and launched, the strips will be appearing in Manhunt's Myspace page [link] .
The story behind the strip, is about my 12 penguins, and their misunderstanding of the comic's title. Man-Hunt sounds like the Animal's Revolution to them, long expected, and they decide to be a big part of it. Let's see what they will get themselves into...

Three more projects on the run, let's hope everything to be ok, because I have a bad luck karma for the last months...

Nothing more for international readers, let's get to the local stuff, rants about greek society...

Ποιά "greek society" θα μου πείτε, αυτό τον καιρό όλα είναι υπό διάλυση! Οικονομία, ζέστη, φωτιές, σκάνδαλα, κτηματολόγια (ας μην αρχίσω γι αυτό, γιατί θα μας πάρει το ξημέρωμα ) και οι δημόσιες υπηρεσίες στη χειρότερη φάση τους!

Θυμάμαι που λέτε (τί θυμάσαι κι εσύ τώρα ) πως όταν είχε πρωτοβγεί η ΝΔ προ 5ετίας, ένας από τους βασικούς της στόχους ήταν η μείωση της γραφειοκρατίας. Ε λοιπόν, ακριβώς το αντίθετο συμβαίνει!
Απλό παράδειγμα: πρέπει να καταθέσω κάποια χαρτιά στην Εφορία Κερκύρας (κτηματικά θέματα). Και μέσα σε αυτά, πρέπει να έχω ένα αποδεικτικό στοιχείο παλαιότητας του πατρικού μου, πως φτιάχτηκε πριν το '55. Καλά ως εδώ. Έχω λοιπόν το χαρτί του Δήμου που το αποδεικνύει. Πρέπει όμως, μετά την καινούργια Υπουργική Εγκύκλιο του Μάρτη του '08, το χαρτί αυτό να είναι βασισμένο σε στοιχεία του υποθυκοφυλακίου και όχι με ένορκες καταθέσεις. Το σπίτι φτιάχτηκε τη δεκαετία του '20, το υποθυκοφυλάκιο τη δεκαετία του'30. Άρα άκυρο. Οπότε πάμε στα στοιχεία συμβολαίου, που μας δίνουν τελικά το χαρτί του Δήμου, που έχω βγάλει τον Γενάρη του '08. Όμως ο Γενάρης του '08 είναι πριν τον Μάρτη του '08 που πήγε η Εγκύκλιος, οπότε πρέπει να βγει καινούργιο (που θα λέει πως το σπίτι είναι πριν το '55, λες κι αν είναι 2 μήνες πριν, αλλάζει το χωροχρονικό timeline των Αρμένηδων κι ο Batman στην πραγματικότητα είναι από το Earth 22.) Το οποίο καινούργιο τελικά δεν το δέχονται, γιατί η εγκύκλιος δεν είναι ξεκάθαρη. Ασχέτως αν το Υποργείο Οικονομικών το δέχεται. Και ο Δήμος πλέον ΔΕ βγάζει τέτοια χαρτιά, αλλά τα βγάζει...κενό. Εδώ κανείς σε καμία υπηρεσία δεν είχε απάντηση. Οπότε πάμε να βγάλουμε χαρτί από τη ΔΕΗ που να αποδεικνύει πως το σπίτι ηλεκτροδοτήθηκε ΠΡΙΝ το '55. Έλα όμως που στην ΔΕΗ Κερκύρας δε λειτουργούν τα γκομπιούτερ τους μέχρι την Πέμπτη! (Απεργία; )

Δύο εβδομάδες τώρα για μια κατάθεση. Που είναι ένα από τα 5-6 βήματα που πρέπει να γίνουν για να ολοκληρωθεί η δουλειά μου...

Με το ΠΑΣΟΚ έτσι γινότανε; Ναι, έτσι γινότανε, αλλά όχι σε τέτοιο βαθμό, και όχι με τέτοιο θράσσος από τους υπαλλήλους! Ξέρω ανθρώπους που έχουν πάει στο Δήμο (Αττική) για μία ερώτηση ή ένα χαρτί, και μόνο που δεν τους πέταξαν με τις κλωτσιές έξω! Να μιλάς στον υπάλληλο και να σε γράφει στ'αρχίδια του, να του κάνεις μια ερώτηση και να σηκώνεται να φεύγει λες και δεν είσαι εκεί!

Για να μην αρχίσω με τον ΗΣΑΠ! Αλλάξανε τους σεκιουριτάδες, προφανώς έληξε η σύμβαση της προηγούμενης εταιρίας, και προσέλαβαν καινούργιους. Οι οποίοι μονο για σεκιουριτάδες δεν κάνουν! Κάτι κατσιασμένοι, κάτι γέροι, κάτι χοντρές που λαχανιάζουν στα 3 βήματα για την ασφάλειά μας. Μέχρι τώρα έχω πέσει σε 3 περιστατικά που αποδεικνύουν περίτρανα το πόσο άχρηστοι κι ακατατόπιστοι είναι οι νιουμπηδες, και στο ένα μάλιστα από θαύμα γλύτωσε τον τραυματισμό ένας εμπλεκόμενος. (Οι σεκιουριτού της Ομόνοιας για την ακρίβεια, απλά κοίταζε από απόσταση το ξύλο που έπεφτε ).

Πρέπει να ανοίξω κανένα petition για να τους διώξουμε μάλλον, αλλά τί να σου κάνουν κι αυτά, σαν τις διαδηλώσεις: με τη ΝΔ κανένας δεν παραιτείται, κανένας δε θίγεται, και για όλα φταίει το ΠΑΣΟΚ.

GREEK MODE ON

Θυμάστε που πριν λίγους μήνες, ο Δήμος Αθηναίων είχε ανακοινώσει εκείνο το καταπληκτικό πρόγραμμα για μια πιο πράσινη Αθήνα;
Εκείνο ντε, που μας έλεγε να γεμίσουμε τις ταράτσες των σπιτιών μας με πρασινάδες, γλάστες και φύκους (μακριά από το αγιόκλημα, μαζεύει σφήκες) για να μπερδεύουμε τα ελικόπτερα του ΑΝΤ1 όταν βγάζουν αεροφωτογραφίες!
(Όχι, δε θυμάμαι πώς το έλεγαν, "Ταράτσα 2008" ίσως, ή "Πράσινη Ταράτσα", κάτι παρόμοιο τελοσπάντων, από αυτά τα ευφάνταστα πάντα ονόματα του Κακλαμάνη υποθέτω. )

Όσο το κάνατε εσείς, τόσο κι εγώ, γενικά δεν είδα να είχε και μεγάλη επιτυχία η συγκεκριμένη καμπάνια.
Γιατί άραγε; Μήπως δεν έχουμε πολλές ταράτσες; Μήπως ο διαχειριστής της πολυκατοικίας σας απαγορεύει οτιδήποτε πράσινο γιατί χαλάει τη γενικότερη χρωματική αισθητική της Αθήνας (ανοιχτοβαθύ γκριζογκρίζο );

Ή μήπως οι περισσότεροι έχουμε κεραμίδια οπότε αν φυτέψουμε κάτι παραπάνω από τα βρύα και τις λυχήνες που η υγρασία απλόχερα προσφέρει θα διαβρωθεί το εσωτερικό ραμποτέ της σκεπής;

Τίποτε απ'όλα αυτά. Ο κύριος Κακλαμάνης, πριν αρχίσει αυτή την εκστρατεία, έκανε άραγε μία μικρή βόλτα στην αγορά; Πήγε να δει πόσο κοστίζει ένα μικρό γλαστράκι με κάκτο του συρμού; Γιατί για μεγαλύτερα φυτά δεν το συζητώ. Μία φτέρη, όχι από τις πολύ μεγάλες, τις πλατύφυλλες, παίζει από 45 μέχρι 70 Ευρώ. Το κακτάκι που λέγαμε πιο πάνω έχει 5-10 Ευρώ, οπότε με τα λεφτά μιας φτέρης παίρνεις 7-14 μαραγκιασμένα κακτάκια. Τα οποία πιάνουν περισσότερο χώρο, αλλά είναι πιο κοντά, και στις αεροφωτογραφίες δε δίνουν και μεγάλο στόχο. Με 70 ευρώ λοιπόν καλύπτεις 2-3 τετραγωνικά της ταράτσας σου, που στη χειρότερη έχει συνολικά 60, που σημαίνει -βγάλε 5 τμ για μια σεζλόνγκ, κι άλλα 10 για ένα τραπεζάκι, το θες και κάπως μεγάλο να χωρά καφέ-τάβλι-τασάκια-μπύρες-κάνακοψίδι και μια σαλάτα, έχουμε 45 τετραγωνικά για πρασινίλες, (στην χειρότερη, αν μένεις σε 3αρι, τα τετραγωνικά πάνε στα 120 ) που σημαίνει ένας επιπλέον μισθός για τους φύκους!

Δώστε μας λοιπόν κύριε Κακλαμάνη ένα επίδομα Φύκων, ή μοιράστε στα ΚΕΠ 12 Φύκους ανά πολίτη, ή περάστε τους στο Κτηματολόγιο εν ανάγκη, ώστε έτσι να μπορέσετε μετά να έχετε και τη δικαιολογία, να μιλάτε για "ανίδεους πολίτες που δε ενδιαφέρονται για την οικολογία, τί άλλο να κάνεις;"

Παράλληλα με την έκθεση "Εν αιθρία IV" θα εκτεθούν και τα έργα που διακρίθηκαν στον διαγωνισμό Hellboy της Jemma Press. Η απονομή των υπογεγραμμένων αντιτύπων στους νικητές θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Τετάρτη 7 Μαίου στις 20.30.
